Notice of CCG closure

From 1 July 2022 please visit our new ICB website https://staffsstoke.icb.nhs.uk/

On 1 July 2022, the six Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent closed down and the functions of the CCGs transferred to a new NHS organisation, known as an integrated care board. The new organisation is responsible for NHS spend and the day-to-day running of the NHS in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.

Therefore, South East Staffordshire and Seisdon Peninsula Clinical Commissioning Group no longer exists and the responsibilities of the CCG, along with the other CCGs in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, have transferred to the new NHS Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board (ICB).

These changes have taken place under the new Health and Care Act 2022, which amongst other things aims to tackle health inequalities and create safer, more joined-up services that will put the health and care system on a more sustainable footing. There are no changes to how local residents access NHS frontline services in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent as part of these changes.

From 1 July 2022 if you visit this website, you will be re-directed to the new ICB website.

Publication Scheme

on .

Under the FOI Act, the CCG must provide a Publication Scheme and it follows the template provided by the Information Commissioner's Office.  This sets out seven commitments which the CCG makes and seven classes of information it provides.

This section is designed to be a guide to finding the various types of information easily.

Our Publication Scheme covers information routinely published by the CCG, and is reviewed on regular basis.

Classes of information

The classes of information will not generally include:

  • Information the disclosure of which is prevented by law, or exempt under the Freedom of Information Act, or is otherwise properly considered to be protected from disclosure.
  • Information in draft form.
  • Information that is no longer readily available as it is contained in files that have been placed in archive storage, or is difficult to access for similar reasons.

The method by which information published under this scheme will be made available

The CCG will indicate clearly to the public what information is covered by this scheme and how it can be obtained.  Where it is within the capability of the CCG, information will be provided on this website

Where it is impracticable to make information available on the website or when an individual does not wish to access the information by the website, information can be obtained by emailing: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Expenditure over £25k

As part of the government's drive to improve the transparency of how public funds are used, NHS organisations are required to publish expenditure over £25,000. In line with guidance from HM Treasury, North Staffordshire Commissioning Group provides information on payments made over £25,000.

The reports are published on a monthly basis to provide you with information on what we spend and how we spend it.

What our priorities are and how we are doing

How we make decisions

The CCG's Governing Body Members oversees most of the major decisions as its main role is to set the strategic direction of the CCG and manage performance.  Meetings of the Clinical Commissioning Group’s (CCG) Governing Body Meetings are held in public (details of forthcoming Governing Body Meetings).

There are a number of ways that patients can support GPs and the Clinical Commissioning Group to shape local healthcare services that meet the needs of local people, this information can be found in the Get Involved section of this website.
