Members of the public invited to upcoming Annual General Meetings

Health bosses in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent are encouraging members of the public to book a place at their upcoming pdf Annual General Meetings (106 KB) (AGMs) in July/August. The meetings are an opportunity for the six Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent to let the public know about their activities over the past year and their plans for the coming months.

The South East Staffordshire and Seisdon Peninsula meeting is scheduled as follows:

A number of different topics will be covered during the events, and the relevant CCG’s 2018/19 annual report and accounts will also be presented. The reports give a detailed account of the CCGs’ financial activities and performance during the previous year, as well as their priorities for the coming year.

Marcus Warnes, Accountable Officer for the six Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent CCGs said: “These events are a great opportunity for members of the public to hear about all the great work staff and GPs have been undertaking over the past 12 months.

“Members of the public will have the chance to ask our Directors and I any questions they may have.

“I would encourage anyone that is interested in local health care and services to register their place at one of the events.”

A summary of the six annual reports called ‘Our Forward View’ will also be launched at the meeting. This is a digital document which presents the highlights of the main reports in an engaging and easy to understand format.

To register your place at one of the events, please visit https://nhs.researchfeedback.net/s.asp?k=155990837558 or call 01785 854482.

Single Strategic Commissioning Organisation  (single CCG).

The CCGs are currently running a consultation on a proposal to create a single Strategic Commissioning Organisation. If progressed, this would have commissioning responsibility for the whole of Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent from April 2020. Further information is available here. There is an additional public meeting date for the consultation:

Friday 7 June arrival from 1pm with the meeting 1.30 – 2.30pm, Bill Brownhill Room, South Staffordshire District Council, Codsall WV8 1PX   Book your place.
