Craig Porter - Managing Director, South Staffordshire CCGs (Non Voting Member)

Managing Director, South Staffordshire CCGs

Craig has worked within and alongside the NHS for the past 24 years, initially splitting his time between commissioning / contracting and surgical General Manager roles. During 2010, he was seconded to the Department of Health (Transforming Community Services) to be part of a small team developing the NHS Standard Contract. This was followed by a period working for a number of healthcare consultancies, focussing on strategy, transformation and cost reduction projects, predominantly within the acute sector.

Craig’s role before joining the team here at Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent CCGs was, Director of Commissioning and Transformation for NHS Knowsley CCG. Initial work with the CCG was as a consultant, developing the Health and Social Care Transformation Plan and then in the substantive post, working with local people, General Practice, healthcare providers, social care teams and the voluntary sector to implement locality working across the borough.
