Childhood wellbeing

Every parent or carer wants to know what to do when a child is ill. Most issues your child will experience are part of growing up and are often helped by talking to your Midwife, Health Visitor or local Pharmacist.

The Big 6

'The Big 6' refers to the six most common conditions/symptoms that can cause children and young people to present for emergency and urgent care. They are listed below with links to information and advice sheets for parents. You can expect to receive this information if you take your child to your GP with these symptoms. If you have any concerns, contact your GP.
