Executive Director of Contracting and Performance
Chris joined the NHS in 2008, after a 15 year career at a senior level in Local Government finance, specialising in social care finance.
As the Executive Director of Contracting and Performance, Chris’ main role is to ensure the CCGs have a robust and effective contract management function to oversee the proper performance of contracted activity including cost and activity together with the delivery of NHS Constitutional Standards. Chris is the Executive Lead for three major contracts and has additional responsibilities for CCG corporate delivery (including the Programme Management Office), the management of Business Intelligence services and the external assurance programme with NHS England.
He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, has a MSc in Health Care Policy Management (specialising in Commissioning) from the Health Services Management Centre at Birmingham University and is currently completing a MSc in Strategic Business Management at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School.
Chris is passionate about equity of citizenship and his approach is focussed on collaboration and partnership working as the method of achieving NHS and CCG objectives.
